YiA New Media Training “Integrating Europe Online”

Mladiinfo organized a new media training for representatives of the biggest youth media organization in Europe seated in Brussels (European Youth Press Network). This training was supported by the European commission community program Youth in Action. For 5 days young journalists from more than 20 European countries gathered on the shore of Lake Ohrid to learn, share and discuss European reporting.

The different nationalities and backgrounds of the 40 participants coming from Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland and, of course, Macedonia, ensured a transnational dialogue and provoked discussion about Europe, the EU, its enlargement and the integration of its different (candidate) member states.

In general, this media training can be evaluated a great opportunity for the European journalists of the future to gain new knowledge, band with colleagues from all over the continent, exchange ideas and opinions and maybe even to develop a refreshed view on EU-reporting through new media.
