In the frames of YOURS Network: From Socially Responsible to Enterprise Plausible, participants from North Macedonia, Tunisia, Italy, Austria, France, and Morocco had the opportunity to attend an intensive training on how to make their social initiative sustainable and how to become successful entrepreneurs and leaders. From 1st to 7th of March, sunny Hammamet was the place to gather young aspiring social entrepreneurs to learn and share more on the topic of social responsibility and social entrepreneurship and expand their personal and professional network.
The training helped them to get in detail knowledge of the social entrepreneurship and the ecosystems in different world areas, and realize the importance of the entrepreneurship mindset to tackle complex societal problems. From developing initial ideas about their social businesses to detail analysis and planning of their business models, the participants worked in groups through several exercises, games, and quizzes to “squeeze” the maximum of their social plans and models. They also had a pitching practice and pitch session in front of jury members to get well prepared for a real-life situation and present their social enterprise in front of a professional audience.
“A put-in-practice learning experience, fulfilled with a lot of different cultural exchange and knowledge. The ideas that all of the groups produced were very fruitful and all of them represented a concept that could potentially grow into a socially responsible business.” Said Tomica Stojanovic, a participant from North Macedonia.
