Solidarity Festival in Skopje!

This year Mladiinfo will colaborate with Skopje Street Festival where we will organize The Solidarity Festival: we will write messages on panels, we will draw pictures on solidarity with spray, we will have a debate on the street forum about what we have done for Skopje and what kind of mark we have left for the city and what is more we’ll organize a photo ehxibition: “Celebrating Solidarity!”

What we want to achieve?

By blending urban living, art and solidarity we want to animate young people (and all who feel so) to  become aware of the mark they leave in the society, the values and the examples they give. We want to stop and think in which direction we develop, to see how we are active as citizens and how we promote the community we live in. For this aim we have developed:

  • Walls with messages about solidarity and we will exchange positive thoughts;
  • Panels on which will draw with sprays what solidarity means to us;
  • Photography exhibition: “Celebrating Solidarity!” where we will present the best 20 photos and 3 winning photos will receive awards;
  • Street Forum composed of 3 parts: a) famous urban people from Skopje will speak about the mark they left in the city; b) panel discussion: graffiti artists, cyclists, activists will share thoughts how we are solidarity as citizens between us and what we are giving to the city and what the city gives back to us; c) working groups: we will write recommendations on how Skopje can be much more solidary city and how we can better connect art as a concept with the urban city.

The planned activities are taking place as part of the project: “Celebrating Solidarity” supported by the “Europe for Citizen” programme of the European Commission.

The project is managed by Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and Mladiinfo is a partner organization form Macedonia.
